Jamaica's men's hockey players are confident ahead of departure on Friday for the men’s CAC qualifiers in Mexico, but preparation has not been perfect as the local federation continues to fight to keep the sport going.

Jamaica will arrive hours less than 48 hours before they play their opening game against Guatemala on May 3 and will have only another day to recover before playing Venezuela on 4. Jamaica will also play Panama, Bermuda and hosts Mexico.
