Junior table tennis players off to Japan for training camp

As the quest continues to improve the nation's table tennis, a delegation including four junior players left the island for japan on Friday for a one week training camp. The delegation of 7 includes junior players Joe Burton, Rasheed Clarke, Olivia Peterkin and Soleisha Young with national coach Sandra Rettie also making the trip.

The delegation is headed by Jamaica Table Tennis Association (JTTA) president Godfrey Lothian and sees Stephanie Peterkin travelling with the team as chaperone.

The trip came as a result of the close ties between the Japanese table tennis governing body and the JTTA and will see the players working with former national coach, Japanese Satoshi Takashima.
