Waterhouse and national goalkeeper, Akeem Chambers, who lost his home to fire last month, is the first student to benefit from the Mico University College Students Covid-19 Relief Programme. Chambers, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree in Physical Education, received a laptop and a commitment for a six month stipend of $15,000.
President of the institution, Dr Asburn Pinnock says they are hoping to raise US $1-million or approximately Ja $144 million to ensure students continue their education. The institution is aiming to provide 250 devices across all four year groups.
