Reggae Girlz squad named for CONCACAF Championship

The final 24-member squad for the senior Reggae Girlz  to the CONCACAF Women's Championship in Mexico has been released.

The squad consists of 13 players that were a part of the 2019 women's World Cup team, including Manchester City's Khadija Shaw, Jody Brown, Havana Solaun, Trudi Carter and Sydney Schneider.

However, Tiffany Cameron, who had a strong season in Hungary, has been left of out the squad. Head coach Lorne Donaldson had called up 26 players to a hastily-arranged and a half week pre-tournament camp in Colorado in the United States.

The Reggae Girlz, drawn in Group “A”, take on Mexico on July 4, then World Cup champions the United States on July 7 and Haiti on July 11.

The top two teams in both groups will qualify for the 2023 FIFA World Cup, while the third placed teams will advance to the inter-confederation play off for a place in the tournament to be played in Australia and New Zealand.
