The West Indies will part ways with Jamaican Andre Coley as senior men's test team coach less than two years after being given the position, with Daren Sammy set to become the all format coach.
It means then that Coley who was appointed test coach in May 2023, will leave the post when his contract runs out at the end of the world test championship cycle.
The announcement was made by Cricket West Indies (CWI) Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe at CWI’s quarterly briefing in St Vincent on Monday.
Since his appointment as head coach, Coley has overseen just two test victories from 11 games, while losing seven. It’s unclear whether Coley will remain in his position as head coach of the Windies 'A' team.
