The Jamaica Scorpions were in control after two day of their regional 4-day match against hosts Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, a pink ball encounter at the Brian Lara Stadium.
The Red Force were bowled out for 171 in their first innings reply in the post tea session on day two of the contest, replying to the Scorpions’ 372. Captain Joshua Da Silva top scored with 86.
Marquino Mindley led the way with 3-37, while Abhijai Mansingh 3-41 and Ojay Shields 2-32 for the Scorpions.
Earlier, Javalle Glen scored his maiden first class century to lead the Scorpions to a respectable 372 all out in their first innings after they had resumed on 274-6.
Glen who resumed on 99, carried on to an unbeaten 140, which included 12 fours and 4 sixes, while fellow overnight batsman Mansingh made 67 after resuming on 51.
The pair shared in a 148 run 7th wicket stand. Odean Smith also chipped in with 16, as Joshua James took 3-40 and Khary Pierre 3-87 for the Red Force. The Scorpions batting a second time were 20-3, an overall lead of 221 runs.
