St Elizabeth Technical claimed their 38th ISSA Headley Cup title, denying Manchester High a season's double, as rain prevented any action on Friday's third and final day at STETHS.
Manchester High had recently won the rural area T20 title, defeating STETHS by 12 runs. However, STETHS turned the table in the Headley Cup final, winning the title on first-innings points after posting 233 runs in response to Manchester High's 117.
Manchester High were set to resume on 91 for 4 in their second innings on the final day, before it was decided there would be no further play. This marks a triumphant return to the top for STETHS, who were eliminated in the semi-finals last year.
STETHS will now face ISSA Grace Shield champions Excelsior in the all island playoff for the Spalding Cup from April 22-24 at the STETHS Sports Complex.
