Sunshine Girl Latanya Wilson signs professional contract

Sunshine Girlz defender Latanya Wilson has signed a one year deal with Welsh team Celtic Dragon. The contract can be extended at the end of the season. Celtic Dragons are part of the Netball Super League, which consists of the top ten netball teams in Wales, Scotland and England.

The former Gaynstead High standout ended her high school career last year and is now a student at the University of the West Indies studying entertainment and culture.

She played for the Sunshine Girls last year against England and before that, against Barbados in 2017. The 18-year old will travel on Wednesday with the Sunshine Girls squad to England for the Quad Series  starting on January 19. This series will also feature New Zealand, South Africa and host nation England.
