Paris Olympic 100 metre silver medalist Kishane Thomspon and reigning world 100 metre hurdles champion Danielle Williams headline nine Jamaicans scheduled to compete at the Shanghai Diamond League meet in China on Saturday.
Thompson is down to compete in a competitive men's 100 metre contest which will also feature American 2019 world champion Christian Coleman, Paris Olympic 200m gold medalist Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and inform South African Akani Simbine. 2023 national 100m champion Rohan Watson is also slated to contest the event.
Williams who was victorious at the first Diamond League meet of the season in Xiamen, China last Saturday, will again contest the 100 metre hurdles where she will face Nigerian world record holder Tobi Amusan, Bahamian world indoor champion Devynne Charlton and rising American Grace Stark.
Tokyo Olympic champion Hansle Parchment, Paris Olympic bronze medalist Rasheed Broadbell and Paris Olympic finalist Orlando Bennett will contest the men's 110 metre hurdles. Many time national champion Natoya Goule- Toppin is slated to compete in the women's 800 metres.
In the field, 2019 World Championship silver medalist Danniel Thomas-Dodd will contest the women's shot put, while Jordan Scott who was also victorious in Xiamen last week, will once again contest the men's triple jump.
