Digicel Rising Stars is expected to once again air live shows on TVJ, when the competition returns on August 22.
Producers were forced to cancel last year's live shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Instead, a 16-part docu-series looking back at the show's history was broadcast.
The new season will be scaled down from 13 episodes to 10 and will not feature a live studio audience.
In another major change, the islandwide talent search will be omitted this year, and potential contestants will have to submit their auditions via video.
Show producer Sharon Schroeter said interested persons can submit a one-minute performance video to the Digicel Rising Stars phone line at 876-275-5555.
The cut-off date for videos is August 9 and the crowning moment on October 24.
The cash purse remains at $1.5 million for the winner, $600,000 for second place and $400,000 for third place.
Terri-Karelle returns as host while Sanjay will be back in the Chill Room.
