Renowned reggae artiste Gramps Morgan has acquired land in the Sun Coast Beach Club Housing Development in St Thomas and is set to construct a house which will overlook the sea.
The artiste said his decision to invest in the property, located at Twelve Miles, is a testament to his deep-rooted affection and dedication to the parish.
A member of the Grammy-winning siblings group, Morgan Heritage, the United States of America-born Gramps has strong roots in St Thomas. His family's property, Heritage Estate, which serves as the home base for Morgan Heritage, is located in Port Morant, about an hour from the Sun Coast Beach Club site.
Gramps Morgan told THE WEEKEND STAR that he became aware of the Sun Coast Beach Club development while heading to Port Morant.
Sun Coast Beach Club Housing Development, a 90-acre beach-front property, overlooks the Caribbean Sea on Jamaica's largely untouched south-east coast.
The development is in its infancy stage and is strategically situated near the Southern Coastal Highway, which, when completed, is expected to propel St Thomas into a bustling hub of commerce and progress.
