The Jamaican culture was on full display at last night's BET Awards ceremony in Los Angeles after Dexta Daps, Spice, Skillibeng and Cutty Ranks took the stage with American Rapper, Busta Rhymes.
Skillibeng's Whap Whap, Dexta Daps' Shabba Madda Pot and Spice's So Mi Like It were included in the star-studded performance that had the audience in excitement mode.
The 12-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper who also has Jamaican roots gave an emotional acceptance speech after he was handed the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award established in 2001.
A tribute video recognizing his journey and impact as a rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor was showcased at the event. The short clip featured words from P Diddy, Pharrell, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey.
Busta Rhymes also projected images of DJ Kool Herc on the screen during his performance as a reminder that the founder of Hip-Hop music is a Jamaican.
