The pre-taped 2021 BET Soul Train Awards aired n Sunday night, celebrating the dance show's 50th anniversary.
The Soul Train Awards was for the first time held at the legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York, and was hosted by actresses Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold.
Jazmine Sullivan walked away with the awards for Album of the Year and Best R&B/Soul Female Artiste, while Video of the Year, The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter's Award and Song of the Year were won by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak and Silk Sonic.
Yung Bleu was honoured as Best New Artiste, the Certified Soul Award went to Charlie Wilson and Best R&B/Soul Male Artiste to Giveon
Kirk Franklin took home the trophy for Best Gospel, while Best Dance Performance went to Normani and Best Collaboration to Nigerian duo Wizkid and Tems.
The night also saw Ciara and Russell Wilson receiving the Souls of Justice Award, Ashanti being honoured the Lady of Soul and Maxwell received the Legend Award.
