Music entrepreneur and YouTube star Jamal Edwards has died at the age of 31.
The British national is best known as the founder of SBTV, an online urban music platform that helped launch the careers of artistes like Dave, Ed Sheeran and Skepta.
Jamal's mother, talk show host Brenda Edwards, on Monday revealed that he died on Sunday morning from a "sudden illness."
Among those paying tribute are singer Rita Ora who shared that her first interview was with him, as well as pop star Jesse J and rapper Drake.
Actor Idris Elba and Chelsea Football Club also expressed condolences to the pioneering figure in British rap and grime music.
