Rupert Holmes' 1979 Billboard No.1 hit, Escape: The Pi?a Colada Song was made over by Shaggy, Rayvon and American DJ, Producer and emcee DJ Cassidy with an accompanying music video, released over the weekend.
The track from the trio is titled If You Like Pina Coladas and was produed by VP Records and Club Paradise Records.
After last year's staging of Pass The Mic, DJ Cassidy approached Shaggy and Rayvon subsequent to the duo performing Angel, their 2001 hit, to collaborate with him on the project.
Elaborating on the music video, he shared that it is "a reinterpretation of the 1989 cult classic comedy, Weekend at Bernie's.
It was filmed at a location in Miami Beach.
The artwork for the song is a picture that was taken at the video shoot, which sees DJ Cassidy in the middle of Shaggy and Rayvon.
