Overnight results have shown that the ratings for this year's X Factor UK final went up compared with last year.
An average of 5.3 million people tuned in to watch Dalton Harris beat Anthony Russell and Scarlett Lee on ITV on Sunday.
It was a far cry from the 17 million who watched Matt Cardle win in 2010, when the show was at its peak.
But it was an improvement on last year's overnight figure of five million.
The viewing figures do not include those who watched on other channels.
Harris's winner's single - a cover of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's The Power of Love - was released straight after Sunday night's final and was number one in the UK just hours after its release.
