The Bank of Jamaica held the benchmark rate at 6% per annum on Thursday, despite the fall in the point to point inflation rate to 4.7% in January.
The monetary policy committee of the central bank cited the uncertainty in the US - Jamaica's major trading partner.
Both US consumer and producer price inflation accelerated in January, and the American central bank held its benchmark rate at between 4.25% per annum and 4.50% per annum indefinitely.
