Caribbean Airlines (CAL) and Internet shopping delivery company, E Zone, are teaming up to enhance the air carrier’s express small package service, JetPack, to Jamaica and elsewhere in the Caribbean.
Guy Wilson, Caribbean Airlines Senior Manager for Cargo, says the existing JetPack service, which previously provided airport-to-airport service, was being expanded to door-to-door, airport-to-door and door-to-airport service.
He said the door-to-door service currently was limited to stations where a daily service was operated by CAL.
These are Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados as well as Guyana with an expansion planned to Grenada next month.
Customers will be able to track and trace their packages, including when they clear Customs.
Mr. Wilson explained that packages up to 50 pounds can be delivered the same day or the next.
