Data released by the Planning Institute of Jamaica reveal that China was the leading provider of official development assistance to Jamaica last year, contributing approximately J$64.4 billion.
The data also indicated that the United Kingdom was the leading provider of grant funding with J$21.1billion, followed by the USA with J$13.9 billion.
Official development assistance to Jamaica amounted to J$150.7 billion over the last four years, according to the PIOJ, with $96.4 billion of this amount represented loans, while $54.2 billion was grant funding.
