Scotia Group Jamaica realised a J$385 million increase in net earnings for it third quarter, compared to the same period in 2023.
In a release to the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the financial institution says it made $5.46 billion after meeting tax obligations.
For the same May to July quarter in 2023, Scotia Group's net income was $5.07 billion.
The quarter's earnings were supported by higher interest income of $12.4 billion, versus $10.44 billion last year.
Scotia says its asset base grew by 7.6 per cent, $692 billion, underpinned by the performance of its loan portfolio, which increased by almost 14 per cent.
It also says client deposits were up $27 billion, to $472 billion.
