EduFocal enlists Signature Creed and Associates to execute CFO function

Listed Junior Market education technology firm EduFocal has integrated a new firm to carry the financial operations in the business.

In a notice to the Jamaica Stock Exchange, the company said from June 28, it has partnered with financial services firm Signature Creed and Associates.

The company will act as a "fractional" or part-time Chief Financial Officer for EduFocal.

EduFocal says the partnership is to strengthen its financial operations and streamline financial processes.

Signature Creed and Associates is expected to provide strategic financial guidance, and support long-term financial planning.

This partnership became effective the same day Fonnique Richardson resigned as EduFocal's CFO.

In a separate notice, EduFocal says Ms. Richardson's resignation is not linked to any disagreements with the company or its board of directors.

The company also clarified that it was not as a result of issue with policy positions, the audit or financial statements.

This comes weeks after EduFocal resumed trading on the JSE, after it was suspended for late financial statement submission.
