Shareholders of  First Rock Capital Holdings have voted in favour of  a name change for the company.

The motion was approved at the company's recent annual general meeting.

The proposed new name is First Rock Real Estate Investments.

Ryan Reid, the company's CEO, revealed that the name change reflects the key strategic direction of  the company, as it looks to focus primarily on real estate.

It was a move that was approved "almost 24 months ago," he said as the company realised that "many opportunities were coming at the company outside of our core business."

The resolution for the name change now "reflects the strategy around this," he asserted.
