GraceKennedy is piloting a new organic fertiliser made from organic waste such as scallion, callaloo and pepper produced at its agro-park in Hounslow, St. Elizabeth.
The fertiliser is currently being tested by select farmers who supply the company.
It is created through a biodigestion process and is not yet in full-scale operation.
The initiative was first discussed publicly in April during a Jamaica Chamber of Commerce event.
