Guardian Media Ltd. reports $10.2 million loss for nine months ending September 2024

Guardian Media Ltd. (GML) has reported a total comprehensive loss of $10.2 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2024, marking its third consecutive quarter of losses this year.

GML's chairman Peter Clarke stated for the quarter ended September 30, Guardian Media Ltd. generated revenues of $24.3 million, $0.3 million, or 1% lower than the prior year's third quarter.

Mr Clarke says notwithstanding this, the company's loss before tax decreased by $1.5 million, or 29%, compared with the similar 2023 period.

He noted that this improvement in quarterly performance was driven by GML's aggressive push to attract and retain revenues through its innovative multimedia products, high value offers, and tight management of controllable expenses.

The current year-to-date loss before tax of $10.414 million is $5.8 million, or 36% less than the loss before tax of $16.218 million generated over the corresponding nine-month period in 2023.
