Guyana chides Caribbean Airlines for flight crisis

Air Jamaica's majority owner, Caribbean Airlines, is under fire on Thursday morning for the treatment it meted out to a group of passengers earlier this week.

Guyana's Tourism Minister Manniram Prashad says his government will be lodging a formal complaint with Caribbean Airlines' head office regarding how it handled Guyanese passengers who were stranded in Trinidad and Tobago.

Scores of Guyanese returning from North America reportedly discovered that there were no connecting flights.

A report carried by the Stabroek News in Guyana says the Tourism Minister will be going all out to seek redress on behalf of the passengers.
