Following the recent passing of Michael Campbell, founder of Island Car Rentals, the island's largest car rental company now has new owners.
Banker Ryan Parkes and his wife Opal Brown-Parkes were announced as the proprietors.
Mr Campbell was the main shareholder who owned 80 percent of the company while minority shareholder, Derrick DeMercado, held the other 20 per cent.
All the shares have now been acquired by ICR Holdings Investments Limited.
The cash and shares deal was worth at least $2.7 billion and included the acquisition of Island Car Rentals and Jamaica Rental Company Limited.
Island Car Rentals has a fleet of approximately 1,500 motor vehicles covering all classes from buses to economy cars.
