Bank of Jamaica
The Bank of Jamaica has sought to clarify a recent report in relation to the re-design of the country's bank notes.
The central bank says it has not embarked on any step to re-design the polymer notes which were designed and printed in 2022 and first issued June 2023.
But the BoJ says that it has informed commercial banks, in confidential discussions, that they should prepare for the removal of the Jamaica 60th Independence Anniversary logo from the notes.
