Jamaican Teas recorded a net profit of J$120.1 million (5.5 cents per share) on a 16% spike in revenues to $894 million during the nine-month period ended June 30.
This compares with $96.6 million (4.5 cents per share) on revenues of $772 million during the corresponding period last year.
The improved performance came despite an increase in expenses during the period due to shifts in the company's product mix.
Overhead costs jumped 17% during the period under review, due to higher salaries, advertising expenses, travelling expenses and depreciation charges.
