he Ministry of Education disclosed on Tuesday that 189 contractors have been assigned to schools affected by hurricane Melissa to carry out repairs.
Chief Education Officer Terry-Ann Thomas-Gayle, speaking on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, said work has already started on 15 affected schools.
She added that rehabilitative work should begin this week on another 42 institutions.
