New data show Jamaica's unemployment rate has inched up.
The Statistical Institute of Jamaica, STATIN, says the unemployment rate for January was 14-point-1 percent.
The number of unemployed people increased by 13-thousand 700 between January last year and this year moving from 163-thousand 500 to 177-thousand 200.
There were one million 83-thousand 400 people employed in January this year which was a zero-point-seven percent decline from the
corresponding period last year.
