The JSE Index advanced by 711 points on Monday while The Junior Market Index advanced by 7 points.
Overall market activity resulted from trading in 116 stocks of which 58 advanced, 42 declined, and 16 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 27,976,544 units, valued at more than $266,959,326.78.
Jamaican Teas was the volume leader with eight per cent of total volume.
