JSE records largest listing of shares

The Jamaica Stock Exchange on Thursday recorded its largest listing of  shares.

Productive Business Solutions (PBS) listed 123.2 million ordinary shares on the JSE’s US Dollar Equities Market and 25.8 million preference shares on the Main Market.

This also represented the largest transaction the JSE has facilitated in 2017.

PBS is the second company to list on the JSE US Dollar Equities Market this year increasing the total companies listed in 2017 to six.

The public offer involved PBS’ ordinary shares priced at 55 US cents each and 100 dollars per preference share.

The offer took place last month.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of  the Jamaica Stock Exchange, Marlene Street Forrest, told RJR News that another listing on the market is scheduled for today.

"Two preference shares - that's Sagicor Bank and throughout the quarter we should see two more listings," she said.
