The local manufacturing industry earned 10.9 per cent less in 2023 from exports.
The Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) says the industry made US$856.4 million from goods sent overseas.
This was due to a decline in the exports of Other Manufactured Products.
Earnings from Other Manufactured Products amounted to US$484.9 million, a decrease of 21 per cent compared to US$614.8 million in 2022.
STATIN says this was linked to lower exports of Refined Petroleum Products, which fell by 20.7 per cent, to US$436.2 million.
