Jamaica fail in latest attempt to qualify for men's 4x100m at World Champs

Jamaica have missed out on another chance to qualify for the men’s 4x100m relay at the upcoming World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

The team of Bhouwahjgie Nkrumie, Christopher Taylor, Odaine McPherson and Kadrian Goldson clocked 38.46 seconds to win the event on Saturday night at the inaugural Barbados Grand Prix in Bridgetown.

The team needed to have ran faster than 38.20 seconds to move into one of the two non-automatic qualifying spots.

Jamaica will get another chance to qualify at the London Diamond League on July 19. The qualification window for the World Championships will close on August 24.
