American Airlines has revealed plans for eight new routes connecting its hubs to destinations in the Caribbean, including Jamaica, as well as Latin America.
Starting December 18, American will operate one daily round-trip flight to Montego Bay each Friday and Saturday on Boeing 737-800 jets.
The airline also disclosed on Monday that it will reinstate its service between New York JFK and Caracas, Venezuela.
Of the eight upcoming routes, three will be from American's hub in Los Angeles.
Charlotte and Dallas/Fort Worth each get two while Chicago O'Hare gets one.
The new routes - five of which are seasonal - will be phased in over four months - September to December.
