MPC doubling capacity at its solar plant in Dominican Republic

MPC Caribbean Clean Energy is doubling its capacity at its solar plant in Dominican Republic.  
 
The Monte Plata solar plant will grow its capacity from 34 megawatts to 74 mega watts by 2022. 
 
United Renewable Energy Company purchased the plant and said it will not only create electricity revenue of US$7.4 million per year, but also cut greenhouse gas emissions for more than 35,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
