Rusal enters deal with international banks

Aluminium company, Rusal on Thursday announced that it has entered into a syndicated credit facility agreement of up to US$400 million with various international banks aimed at the early partial debt prepayment.

The financial institutions include ING Bank as the lead arranger.

Early February Rusal intends to prepay the scheduled amortisation of principal due in the third and fourth quarters of  this year.

Following the payment Rusal will not have any principal due in 2013 under the US$4.75 billion syndicated facility.

Rusal has a stake in the Alpart and Kirkvine alumina refineries in Jamaica.
