Some Netflix subscribers will pay more money for streaming plans as the US based firm increased fees on Wednesday.
Subscribers based in the United States will pay US$3 more per month for Netflix's premium ad-free plan.
The cost for premium in Britain rose by £2 and €2 in France.
Investors welcomed the news, sending Netflix shares climbing.
The news comes as Netflix also saw an almost nine million subscriber boost in the third quarter.
The performance showed Netflix was thriving despite the Hollywood labour tensions that shut down a number of US productions.
