Reggae Boyz clip Guadeloupe to keep Gold Cup quarter-final round hopes alive

Jamaica's Reggae Boyz have their hopes of reaching the quarter final round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup alive after beating  Guadeloupe 2-1 in their must-win Group "C" encounter at Pay Pal Park in California on Friday.

Thierry Ambrose gave Guadeluope the lead in the 32nd minute before Leon Bailey, who hit the woodwork twice, equalized for the Reggae Boyz 9 minutes later.

Jonathan Russell sent the Jamaicans ahead in the 4th and final minute of time added on to the first half. Jamaica kept their unbeaten record against Guadeloupe intact with 7 victories in their 9 meetings to date.

The Reggae Boyz who lost their opening game 1-0 to Guatemala, will play Panama in their next game on Tuesday.
