The JSE Main Market Index declined by 965 points on Monday, while the Junior Market lost three points.
Among the 44 winners were: Knutsford Express Services, Caribbean Cream, Cargo Handlers, GWest Corporation and Omni Industries.
The 59 losers were led by: JMMB Group 7 per cent preference shares, K.L.E. Group, Sterling Investments and Eppley 7.5 per cent preference shares.
Sixteen stocks closed the session selling at the same price they opened trading Monday morning.
