VM Investments marked a major milestone on Thursday with the official listing of its latest bond offering on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
The bond, initially structured to raise J$5.34 billion, received an overwhelming response from investors, ultimately being oversubscribed by approximately J$1.2 billion.
The listing ceremony was held at the JSE's offices in downtown Kingston.
Dwight Jackson, Assistant Vice President for Capital Markets at VMIL, described the bond's success as a powerful endorsement from the market and a springboard for the company's next phase of development.
Funds raised will be directed toward financing new projects, bolstering liquidity, and expanding the company's footprint through acquisitions and private equity investments.
Originally opened on December 19, 2024, the bond offer was extended beyond its initial close date due to strong market demand, officially closing on January 10, 2025.
