VM Investments reverses loss to post six-month net profit of $105.8m

VM Investments is reporting a strong turnaround in profitability for the first six months of 2026.

The investment company posted net profit of $105.8 million for the period ended June 30, reversing a loss recorded in the corresponding period last year.

The company says the improvement was driven largely by stronger gains from investment activities and continued cost-control efforts.

Net interest income and other operating revenue rose 11.5 per cent year over year, supported by a near 70 per cent increase in gains from investment activities.

Those gains helped offset lower fees and commissions, which were affected by delays in the execution of several transactions amid industry and geopolitical challenges.

Looking ahead, VM Investments says it remains focused on expanding recurring fee-based income streams, advancing its digital transformation programme, and creating sustainable value for shareholders and clients.
