Chairman of the Wisynco Group, William Mahfood, says the company is planning to build a water plant and factory in Lacovia, St. Elizabeth next year.
The new plant will help Wisynco expand water production in that part of the country.
However, he noted that no detailed project plans have been laid out yet because of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
Mr. Mahfood revealed that the Wisynco Group will be distributing 1,000 fridges to its small distributors in western Jamaica in order to get them back on their feet. Those fridges were donated by Coca-Cola.
He also highlighted that the company commenced production in its new brewery line and has successfully launched the Legend Lager, Legend Dark Lager, Legend Flavours and M-Powa Malt.
The Wisynco chairman also pointed to the recent acquisition of a 30 per cent stake in Ringtail Holdings and the acquisition of the assets of Ringtail Bottlers, which will give it the exclusive right to manufacture Stone's Ginger Wine and other products in the portfolio.
