Kevin Sanchez, 27, who was on trial for the 2006 murder
of a policeman, was freed Friday in the Home Circuit Court.
Sanchez of a Matthews Lane address was placed on trial for the February 22, 2006 murder of Detective Corporal Rohan White.
Corporal White was shot dead in downtown, Kingston when he drove up on a robbery in progress.
Sanchez was charged following investigations by the police.
But he was freed Friday afternoon following no-case submissions by his attorney Ravil Golding.
Mr. Golding highlighted the fact that the witnesses gave conflicting testimonies at the trial.
The presiding judge agreed and released Sanchez.
