A US national was arrested on Monday at Sangster International Airport in St. James after a quantity of ammunition was found in his knapsack.
Twenty-five-year-old Kamal Watt, a software engineer of Wilbert Street, United States of America is charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition.
Reports from the Montego Bay police are that about 8:15 a.m., Mr. Watt arrived in Jamaica and while at the security point, his bag was scanned and anomalies detected.
A search was conducted and a box containing 20 nine millimeter cartridges was found.
Mr. Watt was subsequently arrested and charged.
