Another US tourist has died in the Dominican Republic, increasing to eight the number of Americans to die in the country in the last year.
Excellence Resorts in Punta Cana on Sunday confirmed that 53 year old Leyla Cox died last Monday in her hotel room.
Officials in the Dominican Republic have called the deaths isolated as they work to reassure travellers the country is safe.
Previously, the hotel told CNN that Ms Cox had felt unwell and had to be taken to the hospital.
But in a statement Sunday, the resort said Ms Cox, of Staten Island, New York, died in her hotel room.
The hotel gave the cause of death as heart attack, citing a forensics report.
