Veteran crime fighter Superintendent Cornwall 'Bigga" Ford is one of several officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, who have been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent.
Police Commissioner Owen Ellington said the promotions became effective on December 1.
Two divisional commanders have also moved up to Senior Superintendent.
They are head of the St. James Police, Andrew Lewis, and Noel Christie, who is in charge of the parish Trelawny.
Also on the list are the JCF's Legal Counsel Bertland O’Connor, Clifford Chambers of the Organised Crime Investigation Division, OCID, and Richard Stewart of the Administration Portfolio.
