The police say they have captured Demar Williams, also known as 'Demon' or 'Kye Kye'.
Williams is one of eight prisoners who escaped from the Black River lock-up in St. Elizabeth last June.
The police say Williams is a known violence producer with close ties to the One Order gang, led by Fitzroy Mathaias, also known as 'Scuffler'.
According to the JCF, the apprehension of Williams is a significant development in ongoing efforts to combat organised crime and ensure public safety.
The police say they are continuing efforts to locate and apprehend the remaining escapees and dismantle criminal networks.
