British woman charged with stabbing of relative in St. Ann

The St. Ann police have charged a 67-year-old retired British national who reportedly attacked and stabbed one of her relatives during a heated dispute over food.
 
Veronica Lewis, a retired nurse of London, England, was charged on Monday with wounding with intent.
 
It's reported that on February 17, Ms. Lewis and her 24-year-old relative, who is also visiting the island, got into a heated dispute after Ms. Lewis accused her of removing and eating a plate of food she had left in the refrigerator, without her consent.
 
During the dispute, its alleged that the retiree used a knife to stab her relative in the chest and slash her in the face.
 
The incident occurred in Douglas Castle.
 
Ms. Lewis was taken into custody after a report was filed with the police.
