Opposition Leader Mark Golding has reaffirmed the People's National Party's pledge to initiate a process of moral revival to curb the abuse of women and children.
He was speaking in response to the recent rape and murder of nine year-old Kelsey Ferrigon in St Catherine and the assault of a nurse by a businessman in St Andrew.
Young Kelsey's alleged killer was fatally shot by police in Clarendon last week while the businessman has since been arrested and charged.
Mr Golding was critical of what he claims is the current administration's casual treatment of the issue of violence against women and children.
He was speaking at the PNP's Milk River Divisional Conference in Clarendon on Sunday.
